Hello, I've been a fan of your music for a bit and was excited to that you released a game! Unfortunately, my experience was a bit lackluster. My first game I only got fool roles for the entire game until I got shot on the 5th or 6th round. The next 2 games I got the hang of it but died again, only once getting a unique (devil) card. I kept being too slow to use the card before someone got shot. When I was finally able to use it I got shot right after. My third game was the most enjoyable because I actually won! I managed to shoot 3 other players before the roulette round. I quite enjoyed the dialogue my opponent (player 7) had. It genuinely made me sad when they lost.
I would love to see the rest of the dialogue and endings, but I don't think I have the patience to sit through 10+ more games. The gameplay is just not engaging enough for me. I think it would be much more fun if cards appeared more frequently. Maybe I just had bad luck, but I got a fool card like 95% of the time. My main issue is that the game is entirely RNG based, which I guess is the point.
I hope I wasn't too harsh. I just wanted to share my experience. Also, I totally understand that this is just a silly little project, and would love to see more stuff like this in the future! Your character designs are always so adorable <3 (I'm curious if player 12 is a reference to a certain game involving mouthwash).
Hi Napcast, I just wanted to say that all the content I have consumed made by you were amazing and that this one is no exeption! <3
(there will be spoilers in this comment btw)
I'll first start with my experience and then the bugs I encountered! ^w^
Firstly, I had such an amazing experience playing this game and loved the character design, backstories, and the impact of each ending. The music really elevated the impact of the last words and they grabbed my full attention for each one and even made me tear up a little. And yeah, while the gameplay wasn't all too special I did enjoy it, although there were times where I was frustrated (player 10 kept dying/shooting themselves when they were the last last words I needed :sob:), or the fact where I needed to be really patient and lucky (in which I am a patient person, but it did take a while and funnily enough I ended exactly on 100 loops [and also most of the time I would let it run in the background while playing genshin impact, rip]). But anyways, I liked the true ending, and admittedly it was a bit predictable and generic, but there were elements that were interesting, and it was nice to see everyone get the chance to go home and resume their lives and continue to live out their passions.
The bugs I encountered were that with the special role cards, whenever I clicked on a player the card would say to use on either player 12, 1, 2, or 3 (also changes depending on the card), and it honestly confused me a bit when I first came across it. The other bug was that at the true ending when Pepper is confronted to shoot Cain, I clicked one second before the 15 second timer ran out and the line of "I- I can't" kept playing after every dialogue, and it was a bit funny tbh, but it also confused me a bit until I realized it was a bug.
And also I think that this game was good, especially since it was made in a week (that's kinda impressive tbh)
Anyways, good luck on future projects and I'm looking forward to what you make next! :3c
Love the concept and execution of it, but for some reason the music just doesn't work and I'm not sure why. Currently still attempting to get the endings and every round makes my heart skip a beat lol. Great stuff
Really? I will say that unfortunately the only music the game has plays during the final words cutscenes and the true ending, but if it really isn't working during the final words then that's odd. Regardless, thank you for playing and I'm super glad you're enjoying it!!
Oooh, I see, I have yet to be lucky enough to get there, but it's good to hear there's nothing wrong with the game. Thanks for the clarification, wishing you luck on your next project!
What an interesting idea! I've been looking forward to everything you do ever since I played Untitled Puzzle Game.
For as limited as some of the presentation is, it gets across the mood really well, and I enjoy the stories of all the characters. I didn't love the reveals of the true conclusion, but I have to admit it was a fitting end.
Just about the only thing that I actively dislike here is the time commitment for seeing all the content. With minimal player choices and a lot of waiting time, it became quite boring as early as the 3rd attempt. I ended up just sitting around with the game running while I kept clicking and doing other things on my phone. It's not the worst thing in the world, and it didn't stop me from seeing the true ending, but I question how many players will have the patience to sit through it all. Seems like the sort of game that, if it became popular, people would prefer to just watch all the final words scenes on youtube instead of play it themselves.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I apologise for what you didn't though - a perhaps tedious gameplay loop can be chalked up to this game having been made in a week (and it originally just being a small personal project hahaha)
I appreciate the feedback and I'm glad you went all the way to seeing the final conclusion and everyone's stories (even if you didn't love it)

Still, I overall really enjoyed what I saw.
